  • Can someone else pick up my packet?
    If you cannot make it to packet pickup please give the person picking up on behalf of you a copy of your ID.
  • Can I use fins/snorkels for the swim?
    Fins are not allowed. If you wear snorkels we will have to take you out of the age group awards, but you’ll still get a time. Please let us know in advance if you’re planning on using snorkels.
  • What is the USAT insurance fee for?
    USAT stands for USA Triathlon. Our race is insured and sanctioned by USA Triathlon.. Every participant must either have a valid annual USAT membership or purchase a one-day membership for this race. Adults pay $15 and children under 17 pay $10 for the one-day membership. If you sign up online you can pay the membership fee along with your entry fee. For offline applications the form can be downloaded here. More information can be found here: https://www.teamusa.org/usa-triathlon USAT categorizes the age groups based on your age AT THE END OF THE YEAR, not your age on race day.
  • Do you offer rollovers, refunds or transfers?
    There are NO refunds, bib transfers or rollovers to another race or next year's race.
  • What are series points?
    The top 3 male & female in each Hi Tri Series Race will receive points towards the series. The last race gives double points. At the end of the year we crown the TOP 3 Male & Female athletes in the adult & youth division.
  • Are there age restrictions to enter the race?
    We follow strict USAT age restrictions. Each race (adult races & youth races) has different age restrictions. Please carefully read the instruction during the online registration process.
  • Can I wear a wet-suit?
    If the water temperature is below 78 degrees Fahrenheit on race day then wet-suits are allowed. If the water temperature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit or above then wet-suits are not allowed. If a participant chooses to wear a wet-suit even if the water temperature is 78 degrees Fahrenheit or higher then that participant must start in the wet-suit wave and will not be eligible for awards.
  • How do I get to Mokuleia Beach Park?
    From Honolulu: -H1 West to H2 (North Shore/Wahiawa/Schofield Barracks) -99 Wilikina Drive passing Schofileld Barracks to 803 (Snake Road) -803 to 930 Farrington Hwy-5 miles going west to Mokuleia Beach Park From Kailua/Kaneohe: -Kamehameha Hwy going North passing Turtle Bay, Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay & Turtle Beach-Stay on 83 Joseph P Leong Bypass passing Haleiwa -Turn right at 2nd traffic signal (Hwy 930) going into “Weed Circle” roundabout -Take 3rd exit from roundabout going on “Kaukonahua Rd” (Hwy 930) -Turn right on Farrington Hwy -Turn left at roundabout and head to Dillingham Airfield/Kaena Point/Mokuleia Beach approx 4.8 miles west
  • What is the minimum age to participate?
    For the Youth Triathlon the ages are 7 to 14, based on USAT age. USAT age is the age you are at the END of the year. The ages for the Sprint Triathlon are 15 and over (based on USAT age).
  • Where can I find my results?
    Results are posted HERE.
  • Can I warm up before the swim start?
    If you want to do a warm up swim DO NOT enter water directly in front of Mokuleia Beach Park! The reef is sharp and you will get cut. The entrance is west at the small sandy beach about 200 yards towards Kaena Point.
  • Are there any Age Group Awards?
    Top 3 Male/Female in the following age group brackets: Youth Triathlon - 7-8,9-10,11-12,13-14 Sprint Triathlon - 15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80 and over No Age Groups for the Beach Cruiser Division.
  • Is there a cut-off time?
    There is no cut-off time of this race.
  • Can somebody else pickup my packet?
    If you cannot make it to packet pickup please send someone else to pick up your packet on your behalf. That person will need a copy of your ID. There is NO packet pickup on race day.
  • How do I know if I am ALREADY registered?
    Check here to see if you are registered or not. You will need to enter your FULL NAME and DOB.
  • What time does the race start?
    Both the Youth and Sprint Triathlon are scheduled to start at 6:30AM in waves. Further details about the exact start time will be sent out during race week. Times are subject to change.
  • Where can I park?
    Park anywhere on Farrington Hwy except in front of the race venue (west end of the park). We will have no parking barricades where not to park! If you do not see a “no parking” barricade, then you can park there.
  • When and where is packet pick up?
    Date: March 15th, 2025 Time and location TBD There is no race day packet pickup so please make sure to pick up your packet during the scheduled times. There will be no race day registration.
